How to fix error code in HP Printer fax

HP Printer allows users to print, copy, scan and fax. This four can access easily in HP Printer. 

To setup a HP Printer fax the important requirements you need is USB Cable, Setup compact disc and Telephone line. After your complete setup you are ready to send a fax.

While sending your fax you may receive some error code. One of the reasons for error occurring is  ECM (Error Correction Mode). 

Switching off the ECM can improve the ability of the fax to send a fax successfully when the phone line quality is poor. However, the quality of the image might be poor in the received fax.

Error Correction Mode should be turned on under normal conditions. If ECM must be switched off to send faxes successfully. It does not mean that the fax transmission would not use ECM.

In following condition to send a Fax it required ECM.

·         All faxes sent in different color would use ECM.

·         All faxes sent at the fastest transmission speed would use ECM.

·         The Error Correction Mode setting affects only faxes sent, not the received ones.

To enable or disable a Error Correction Mode

Perform the following step from the front control panel.

1.     Click Setup.

2.     Click the Right arrow continuously until Advanced Fax Setup displays.

3.     Click OK.

4.     Click the Right arrow continuously until Error Correction Mode displays.

5.     Click OK. 

6.     Error Correction OFF or Error Correction ON displays on the screen.

7.     Click the Right arrow.

8.     OFF or ON displays on the screen.

9.     Click OK.
